Studio 747 FAQ

You’ve Got Questions? We’ve Got Answers!

Do you work with and teach musicians under 18?

Absolutely! Steve was a public school teacher for over 20 years, working in both middle and high schools.
Parents are encouraged to be present during lessons, whether watching through the studio window or taking a seat right next to their child.

How much does a recording session cost?

Because there are so many variables involved in recording music such as types of instrumentation, length of songs, equipment needs, etc., session prices are based on the project. We typically do not charge by the hour, but will under certain circumstances.
All recording projects require a deposit which will vary depending on cost and time.

How much do you charge for lessons?

Lessons are $35 per session.
Lessons are given in 1/2 hour time slots either weekly or bi-weekly.

Do you offer songwriting/arranging help?

Yes. Whether you need help polishing up the finishing touches of a song, or you're just starting with a spark, we can help create melodies, music, and arrangements to make your song stand out.

Must I bring my own instrument?

We can provide electric and acoustic guitars, bass, drums and percussion, and a midi keyboard with virtually unlimited sounds for no charge with all recording sessions. However, we encourage you to use your own instruments for your own comfort and familiarity.

I only play one instrument. Can I just play my instrument and you provide the rest of the music so I have a full band recording?

Absolutely, I am proficient at guitar, bass, keys, and I also play the drums. I am also very adept at programming virtual drums. If you need a musician outside of those instruments, there are always people we can contact for the job.

Are all the pictures on your website from your studio, or are some stock photos?

Every picture on the site was taken at my studio. Some were taken before renovations took place.
